About This Course

Grief is the price of love. It is the natural, human response to losing something or someone that mattered profoundly. And yet, in most cultures, grief is profoundly misunderstood — rushed, pathologised, or left to be navigated entirely alone.

This course is a companion for the journey through loss. Not a map that tells you exactly where you will go and when, because grief does not work that way. But a guide that illuminates the territory — that names what you are experiencing, normalises what may feel like madness, and offers tools for carrying the weight of loss in a way that honours both the person or thing you have lost and the life you are still living.

Loss takes many forms: the death of someone you loved; the end of a relationship; miscarriage or infertility; job loss or career endings; illness that changes who you are; the loss of a dream or a future you had planned for. All of these are real losses, deserving of real grief.

This course draws from contemporary grief theory, including the Dual Process Model and Continuing Bonds theory, as well as CBT, ACT, and narrative therapy approaches to grief.
